For me, I’m learning to be more aware before the overwhelm hits. I’m learning what triggers me and I’m learning how to distance myself from the things that are causing my stress. Not always easy or possible but I try. Thank you for sharing this!

"The mental drain will eventually turn into a physical drain." This reminds me of the book The Body Keeps the Score--the body will always release what the mind is not willing to...and it hurts. Better to let those things out, to not deny in the moment!
